Guides
How to write an elevator pitch, with a template.
An elevator pitch is what you say when someone asks what you do and you have under a minute. Written well, it also becomes the first slide of your deck.
Fixed prices from $1,500 to $10,000. No calls: everything in writing.
Template
Who, problem, what you do, proof
Illustration only. Any figures are invented for this sample slide.
The four-part template
- Who it is for: "For clinics with fewer than ten staff..."
- The problem: "...who lose hours to insurance paperwork..."
- What you do: "...we file claims automatically from the appointment record."
- Proof or ask: "Forty clinics use it today, and we are raising to reach four hundred."
How long it should be
About thirty to sixty seconds spoken, which is roughly seventy-five to a hundred and fifty words. If you need longer, it is not yet clear enough.
How to start
With the listener's world, not your product. A problem they recognize earns the next sentence.
How to close
With one thing you want: a meeting, an introduction, a trial. Not a list.
Adapting it
Keep the structure and change the proof and the ask for each audience: an investor hears traction and the raise; a customer hears a result and a trial offer; an employer hears your record and the role you want.
Packages
When you want it finished for you.
Each package states what you get, how long it takes and where it stops. None includes a call.
