Pitch deck services

Pitch deck consulting without the meetings.

Consulting on a deck usually means hours of conversation. Ours is a document: a written assessment of what your deck says, what it fails to say, and the order it should say it in.

Fixed prices from $1,500 to $10,000. No calls: everything in writing.

Audit note

Move the ask from slide 14 to slide 2

Illustration only. Any figures are invented for this sample slide.

What the written audit covers

  • Story: is there one argument, and is it in the right order?
  • Evidence: does each claim have a number or a source behind it?
  • Numbers: do market, traction and financial slides agree?
  • Design: can each slide be understood at a glance?
  • Gaps: which investor questions are left unanswered?

Why written advice is better advice

Spoken feedback is forgotten by the next morning and remembered differently by each co-founder. Written notes sit inside the deck, next to the slide they refer to, and can be worked through one at a time.

From advice to a finished deck

If the audit shows the structure needs rebuilding, Finish + Story does it: we reorder the argument, rewrite the headlines and redesign the slides. The audit fee comes off the price when you upgrade within 30 days.

What we do not advise on

Valuation, deal terms, which investors to approach, or securities law. Those need a lawyer or a financial adviser.

The questions behind every slide

Questions to ask before you hire anyone

Answered for how we work: fixed packages, written briefs, no calls.

  1. 1

What does the audit not cover?

It does not redesign anything, build a financial model, check your market figures at source, or advise on valuation or terms. It assesses the deck you have and ranks what to fix.

  2. 2

Can you audit a deck for sponsors or donors?

Yes. Tell us who the reader is. The audit then asks the questions that reader asks, which differ from an investor's.

  3. 3

Will the audit tell me which package to buy next?

It tells you what is wrong and in what order to fix it. That usually makes the choice obvious: design problems point to Investor Finish, structure problems to Finish + Story.

  4. 4

Can I make the fixes myself after the audit?

Yes. The notes sit next to each slide in your file and are written so your team can act on them without us.

  5. 5

Can you audit after investors have already seen the deck?

Yes, and it helps if you send their feedback with the brief. The audit can then focus on the questions they actually raised.

  6. 6

How long does the audit take?

Three business days from payment and a complete brief.

  7. 7

Can we have a second audit after revising?

Yes, as a new audit. If you move on to a rebuild instead, the first audit's fee comes off within 30 days.

  8. 8

Will a consultant tell me the business is not fundable?

We will tell you where the deck cannot answer a basic question. We do not judge whether the business should be funded.

You have no draft yet, or you need the deck rebuilt in the same step.

Before you send it

Hiring checklist

  • The advice is written down and tied to specific slides.
  • Fixes are ranked, not just listed.
  • The consultant states what they will not advise on.
  • They ask who the reader is before reviewing.
  • They flag claims with no source rather than accept them.
  • They check that numbers agree from slide to slide.
  • The fee is fixed and credited if you go on to a rebuild.
  • They do not promise investor introductions or outcomes.
