The "why now" slide: what changed, and why it matters.
Investors assume that a good idea has been tried before. The why now slide explains what has changed in the world that makes it work this time.
Fixed prices from $1,500 to $10,000. No calls: everything in writing.
Why now
Three things that were not true five years ago
Illustration only. Any figures are invented for this sample slide.
What counts as a reason
- A technology became cheap or good enough.
- A regulation changed.
- Customer behavior shifted.
- A cost fell or a new channel opened.
- An incumbent left a gap.
How to write it
Name one to three specific changes, give a date or figure for each if you have one you can source, and connect each to your business in a sentence. Avoid general statements about a market "growing fast".
Where it goes
Early, often straight after the problem and solution, because it answers the reader's first doubt.
When to leave it out
If you cannot name a real change, do not invent one. Fold a line on timing into the market slide instead.
Packages
When you want it finished for you.
Each package states what you get, how long it takes and where it stops. None includes a call.
