Consulting and agencies · Credentials deck

Agency credentials decks that open the next meeting.

A credentials deck introduces an agency before a pitch. It should be short, specific about results and easy to adapt for each prospect.

Fixed prices. No calls: you brief us in writing and comment in writing.

Case study

The brief, the work, the result

Illustration only. Any figures are invented for this sample slide.

Who reads it

Marketing leaders and procurement teams.

Turnaround

5 business days for a design rebuild; 3 business days for an audit.

How it differs

How a credentials deck differs from a general pitch deck

A general startup deck asks for investment. A credentials deck asks for the next meeting, usually against several other agencies. The reader is a marketing lead, often with a procurement colleague, judging fit, people and how the agency charges. There is no market slide and no financial forecast. The case studies do the work that traction does in a startup deck, and the deck must be easy to reshape for each prospect so it never reads as a generic brochure.

The questions behind every slide

What readers of a credentials deck ask

Each answer names the slide or document where it belongs. If a question has no home in your deck, the reader will ask it in writing, or stop reading.

  1. 1

Who exactly would work on our account?

The team slide should name the people the client will deal with each week and their roles.

  2. 2

    How do you charge?

A commercial slide should explain retainer, project and any performance-linked options.

  3. 3

Do you work for any of our competitors?

The clients slide should state your conflict policy.

  4. 4

How do you measure results, and who reports them?

The how we work slide should show reporting, its timing and who owns it.

  5. 5

How large and stable is the agency?

The who we are slide should give headcount, years trading and ownership, which procurement teams often ask for.

  6. 6

What will working together be like week to week?

The process slide should show meetings, approvals and turnaround, and the chemistry meeting should leave time to discuss it.

  7. 7

Which parts of this work did you do yourselves?

Each case study should credit your role and any partners.

  8. 8

How do you handle our data and approvals?

A short appendix page should cover data handling and the approval process.

Headline rewrites

Slide titles that say something.

A reader skims headlines first. A label tells them the topic; a sentence tells them the point. Bracketed figures are placeholders for your own numbers.
