Biotech · Platform biotech deck
Platform biotech decks that prove the platform, not one program.
A platform company must show that its technology produces more than one good program. The deck has to separate what the platform proves from what any single asset proves.
Fixed prices. No calls: you brief us in writing and comment in writing.
Platform
Several programs from one discovery engine
Illustration only. Any figures are invented for this sample slide.
Who reads it
Investors weighing platform breadth against focus.
Turnaround
5 business days for a design rebuild; 3 business days for an audit.

How it differs
How a platform biotech deck differs from a general pitch deck
A general startup deck tells one product story. A platform biotech deck tells two at once: the engine, and what the engine has made. Investors look for proof that the engine works independently of any single program, and for one asset close enough to human data to anchor value. Partnerships count only when their structure shows the platform is valued, so deal type matters more than logos. Ownership of each program and of platform improvements must be clear, because partner rights change what an investor actually owns.

The questions behind every slide
What readers of a platform biotech deck ask
Each answer names the slide or document where it belongs. If a question has no home in your deck, the reader will ask it in writing, or stop reading.
- 1
What can the platform do that a well-funded team with standard tools cannot?
The platform slide, with a direct comparison against the standard method.
- 2
Is the time and cost from target to candidate falling with each program?
The platform improvement slide, showing cycle time or cost per candidate across programs, in relative terms if needed.
- 3
Which programs do you own outright, and which carry partner rights?
The pipeline slide should mark ownership on every program, with detail in a business development appendix.
- 4
Does each partnership validate the platform, or is it fee-for-service work?
The partnerships slide should state the deal type for each: research collaboration, option or license, with terms only as you may disclose.
- 5
What data does the platform generate that others cannot buy?
The platform slide, describing the dataset by type and how it grows with each program.
- 6
When will the first internal asset reach human data?
The lead assets slide, with the milestone and its funding source.
- 7
What is left of the platform's value if the lead asset fails?
The proof across programs slide, showing evidence that does not depend on the lead asset.
- 8
Who owns improvements made to the platform during a partnered program?
The partnering strategy slide, with a terms summary in the appendix approved by your counsel.
Headline rewrites
Slide titles that say something.
A reader skims headlines first. A label tells them the topic; a sentence tells them the point. Bracketed figures are placeholders for your own numbers.

Platform biotech deck checklist
- Every program is labeled owned, partnered or under option.
- Platform evidence comes from more than one program or target.
- Each platform metric states how it is measured.
- Partnership terms appear only as disclosure agreements allow.
- A first product is named.
- Claims such as any target or any disease are removed unless data supports them.
- Partner logos appear only with written permission.
- Non-confidential and business development versions leave out proprietary method detail.
