Biotech · Therapeutics deck
Therapeutics pitch decks from mechanism to milestones.
A therapeutics deck carries a lead program toward a value inflection point. Investors want the biology, the data and the plan, with every scientific claim precise.
Fixed prices. No calls: you brief us in writing and comment in writing.

Who reads it
Life science investors, some specialists and some generalists, often with scientific advisers reviewing.

5 business days for a design rebuild; 3 business days for an audit.

How it differs
How a therapeutics deck differs from a general pitch deck
A general startup deck sells traction. A therapeutics deck sells a program that may have no revenue for years, so the evidence is scientific and the plan is a series of studies. It is read in two layers: a generalist checks the need, the milestone and the money, while a scientific adviser checks models, statistics and comparators. Value moves at data readouts and regulatory steps, so the raise must reach a named one with runway to spare. Patent scope and manufacturing are diligence items most general decks never carry.

The questions behind every slide
What readers of a therapeutics deck ask
Each answer names the slide or document where it belongs. If a question has no home in your deck, the reader will ask it in writing, or stop reading.
- 1
What is the target product profile, and how would it improve on the standard of care?
A target product profile slide, or a box on the indication slide, covering population, route, dosing and efficacy goal.
- 2
What is the next value inflection point, and does this round reach it with runway left?
The use of funds slide should name one milestone, its cost and the runway remaining after it.
- 3
Has this mechanism been tested in humans before, by anyone?
The competitive landscape slide, citing public sources and dated.
- 4
Which models support the data, and how well do they predict results in patients?
The lead program data slide should name the model, with the rationale in the scientific appendix.
- 5
Do you hold composition-of-matter claims, or only method-of-use?
The intellectual property slide, with a patent family table in the appendix confirmed by your patent counsel.
- 6
How will the drug be made, and by whom?
A manufacturing line on the development plan slide, with the plan in the appendix.
- 7
Has a freedom-to-operate review been done?
The intellectual property slide should state whether one exists, as your patent counsel describes it.
- 8
Which regulatory designations have you applied for or received?
The development plan slide, listing only those filed or granted, in wording your regulatory counsel approves.
Headline rewrites
Slide titles that say something.
A reader skims headlines first. A label tells them the topic; a sentence tells them the point. Bracketed figures are placeholders for your own numbers.

What we fix
Faults we see in therapeutics deck drafts
Figures pasted from papers at unreadable size.
Results with no comparator.
Milestones without dates.
What you receive
Documents we produce
- Investor deck
- Non-confidential deck
- Scientific appendix
Every file is delivered editable, in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote, with a PDF for sending. A therapeutics deck rebuild starts at $3,500; the full Raise Set with one-pager and teaser is $10,000.
Format
Length, versions and appendix
- Length
- Often 15 to 20 main slides, with a scientific appendix as long as the data needs.
- Send-ahead version
- Send the non-confidential version first. The full deck follows under a confidentiality agreement.
- Presented version
- Lead with the patient and the program. Keep the mechanism to one slide and go deeper only when the room asks.
What belongs in the appendix
- Full study designs and statistics
- Additional preclinical or clinical figures
- Patent family table
- Manufacturing and CMC plan
- Competitor program table with sources
- Advisor and key opinion leader biographies
Before you send it
Therapeutics deck checklist
- Every data slide states the model or population, the number of subjects and the comparator.
- Every redrawn figure is confirmed by your scientists in writing.
- Each milestone carries a period, such as a quarter or half-year.
- Pipeline stages match the development plan text.
- Competitor programs are cited from public sources and dated.
- Intellectual property statements are reviewed by your patent counsel.
- Forward-looking statement and confidentiality labels are in place.
- Confidential and non-confidential versions are saved and named separately.
Glossary
Terms used in a therapeutics deck
- Target product profile (TPP)
- A summary of the features a drug must have to meet patient needs and its development goals, such as population, dosing and efficacy.
- Investigational New Drug application (IND)
- The US FDA submission a sponsor makes before testing a new drug in people.
- Standard of care
- The treatment clinicians generally use today for a given condition.
- Value inflection point
- A milestone, such as a data readout, after which investors expect the program to be worth much more.
